The Arts Community, producer of COTA, is a nonprofit organization founded in the summer of 1975 by professional artists and citizens interested in the arts. The organization is dedicated to making arts accessible to children and adults of the Hudson Valley and sponsors many performance, events, exhibits, and regularly scheduled classes for our young people. Fox and Hound Wine and Spirits, as the name suggests, a Hunt Country vibe fills this new upscale wine shop, tucked discreetly into a corner of the New Paltz Shopping Plaza on Route 299. Owners Nick Ciallelo and Tom Edwards have carefully selected hundreds of bottles from lesser known producers and classic favorites. The selection of spirits is equally fine. A kitchen and bar is located in the back for tastings. Open Monday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sundays from noon until 7 p.m.

A Perfect Gift: All That Is Jazz, is a production of the Artists Alliance Against Violence Inc. In addition to community arts programs, they are currently focusing on a 12 person group of musicians and dancers, "A Perfect Gift: All That Is Jazz™," which provides young artists with non-violent job opportunities and an opportunity to show their own choreography and compositions.

Historic Huguenot Street -- is a National Historic Landmark District featuring seven unique stone houses dating to the early 1700s, a burial ground and a reconstructed 1717 stone church, all in their original setting on 20 landscaped acres surrounded by a nature preserve, yet just steps from the shopping and dining of downtown New Paltz. At Locust Lawn, a gentleman’s farm featuring a striking Jeffersonian mansion, the story of these industrious people continues.
